In a statement, the Indian Embassy in Tehran urged Indian nationals to “consider temporarily exiting Iran using available flight options” and advised those planning to visit the country to delay their travel, News.Az reports, citing Al Jazeera.
The advisory comes as U.S. forces carried out a ninth consecutive day of strikes on Iran on Monday, while concerns continue to grow over the security of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz after Iran reported that two oil tankers had “exploded” and been immobilized.
The latest strikes are part of an intensifying confrontation between the US and Iran after an interim ceasefire agreement signed a month ago collapsed, escalating the struggle for control of the Strait of Hormuz, disrupting global energy supplies, and fueling concerns over rising inflation worldwide.
