Gurlek said judicial proceedings were continuing before Istanbul’s 11th High Criminal Court against 35 defendants, including Netanyahu and Afek Moskovitch, over the incident in international waters, Anadolu Agency reported.
According to the justice minister, arrest warrants were issued for Netanyahu and Moskovitch on July 14, 2026, over alleged genocide-related offenses. The Justice Ministry subsequently asked the Interior Ministry to seek Interpol red notices for the two suspects.

The relevant documents have also been sent to Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry, Gurlek said.
He said the two were being prosecuted over alleged actions involving an armed intervention against civilians delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza in international waters and the detention of activists.
The charges listed in the case include crimes against humanity, genocide, aggravated deprivation of liberty, intentional injury, torture, property damage, aggravated robbery and hijacking of transportation, according to Gurlek.
“We will not allow the crimes committed in Gaza to be covered up or those responsible to be protected by a shield of impunity,” the minister said, adding that Türkiye would use all means available under national and international law.
The reported request is part of Türkiye’s ongoing judicial proceedings and does not itself mean that Interpol has issued a red notice or that an international arrest warrant has been granted.
