US missiles struck an Iranian oil tanker off Kharg Island, ISNA reported.
No casualties have been reported in the incident.
Kharg Island is a key hub for Iran’s oil industry and accounts for around 90 percent of the country’s crude oil exports.
US President Donald Trump has previously threatened to seize the territory.
