The strike was conducted Sept. 19 by the Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere under the direction of Southern Command, according to a statement posted on X, Anadolu Agency reported.
Southern Command said intelligence had confirmed that the vessel was actively involved in drug trafficking and was operating along established drug-trafficking routes in the Caribbean.

“The operation killed four narco-terrorists,” the command said, referring to those aboard the vessel.
The military did not provide further details about the identities of the people killed, the type of drugs allegedly being transported or the specific location of the strike.
The operation comes as US authorities continue efforts to disrupt suspected drug-trafficking networks in the Western Hemisphere.
