The network recorded 263,300 developer activity events during the month, maintaining a significant lead over competitors even as activity fell 40.3% compared with the previous period. Ethereum also had around 1,100 contributors, down 13.2%, News.Az reports, citing Blockchain Reporter.
BNB Chain ranked second with 121,800 developer activity events, a 40.7% decline from the previous month. The network recorded 603 contributors, representing a 17.6% decrease.

Polygon placed third with 100,400 developer activity events despite a 40.9% drop, while 452 contributors participated in development during the period, down 16.1%.
Arbitrum ranked fourth with 79,000 developer activity events, followed closely by Optimism with 78,400. Both layer-2 networks experienced declines of more than 45% in developer activity, while their contributor counts also fell by roughly 18%.
Solana ranked sixth, recording 77,400 developer activity events, a 32.1% decline from the previous month. Unlike most major blockchains, however, Solana was the only network among the top performers to post an increase in contributors, rising 1.6% to 377 developers.
Avalanche followed with 73,400 developer activity events and 320 contributors, while Harmony recorded 62,900 events and 287 contributors.
Cardano rounded out the top 10 with 62,600 developer activity events and 295 contributors. Although activity and contributor numbers declined year over year, Cardano remained among the industry’s most actively developed blockchain ecosystems.
Developer activity is widely viewed as a key indicator of a blockchain network’s long-term health, reflecting ongoing innovation, ecosystem growth and community engagement. While most leading blockchains experienced declines in monthly activity, Ethereum continued to hold a commanding lead, underscoring its position as the largest development ecosystem in the industry.
