As of 7:46 a.m. GMT, Downdetector had recorded 4,808 reports from Facebook users in the United States. Approximately 63% of those reports involved users being unable to access the Facebook website, News.Az reports, citing Reuters.
Instagram users also reported widespread issues, with 2,829 outage reports logged in the US by 8:18 a.m. GMT, most relating to problems with the mobile app.

Reuters also observed intermittent access to both Facebook and Instagram in Singapore, suggesting the disruptions were affecting users beyond the United States.
Meta did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment on the cause of the outages.
It remains unclear what triggered the service disruptions or how many users were affected globally. The company had not provided an estimated timeline for a full restoration of services at the time of publication.
