Ukraine’s Air Force said Russia launched missiles and 202 drones at the Odesa region overnight. It claimed that 174 of the drones were intercepted or suppressed over northern, southern and eastern parts of Ukraine.
Russia’s Defense Ministry, meanwhile, said its forces intercepted and destroyed 153 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Russian territory, occupied Crimea and the waters of the Azov and Black seas.
In Russia’s Belgorod region, acting Governor Alexander Shuvayev said 13 people, including two children, were injured in overnight strikes.
The attacks damaged at least four apartment buildings and caused fires, including fires involving two cars parked near an apartment building and a private home, according to Shuvayev.
The latest exchange of strikes comes as both sides continue long-range attacks against each other, with civilian areas repeatedly affected by drones and missiles.
The claims made by Russian and Ukrainian authorities could not be independently verified because of the ongoing war.
