“The current war has changed everything. We must acknowledge that new realities have emerged,” Araghchi said in a speech at the Foreign Ministry on Sunday, according to Iran’s Press TV, Anadolu Agency reported.
“The shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz will no longer be the same as before, nor will the strait be managed as it was in the past,” he added.

Araghchi said Tehran would welcome any security plan developed within the region, emphasizing Iran’s preference for a regional approach to security.
Iran and the United States remain at odds over control of the strategically important waterway following the US-Israeli war that began in February. Tehran insists on its authority to manage passage through the strait, while Washington demands unrestricted navigation.
The two countries signed an interim agreement in June aimed at resolving their conflict, but diplomatic negotiations have stalled amid renewed tensions, according to the report.
