The strikes targeted the Syzran oil refinery and Atlant Aero in Russia’s Rostov region, while Ukrainian authorities also provided new details about damage from an earlier strike on the Slavyansk ECO oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai, RBC Ukraine reported.
According to the General Staff, a strike on the Syzran refinery caused a fire at the facility. The AVT-6 primary oil refining unit and an oil storage tank farm were reportedly damaged.

The Syzran refinery is part of Russia’s Rosneft oil group and has an annual crude processing capacity of around 8.9 million tons. The facility produces gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel and other petroleum products and is also involved in supplying the Russian military.
Explosions and a fire were also reported at Atlant Aero in Taganrog. According to Ukraine’s General Staff, the enterprise specializes in manufacturing unmanned aerial vehicles and drone components.
Atlant Aero produces Molniya strike-reconnaissance drones and components for Orion unmanned systems, with its output used to support the Russian armed forces.
The Ukrainian military also confirmed additional damage from a September 13 strike on the Slavyansk ECO oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Krai.
The General Staff said three storage tanks at the refinery were destroyed and another eight were damaged in that attack.
Meanwhile, overnight drone activity was also reported at Sebryakovcement in Russia’s Volgograd region, described by Ukrainian authorities as the country’s largest cement producer. A fire was additionally reported at the Syzran refinery.
The claims about the strikes and the extent of the reported damage have not been independently verified.
