The weapon struck the capital’s Darnytskyi district, scattering hundreds of sharp projectiles across the neighborhood. The resulting shrapnel storm heavily damaged civilian vehicles and tore through the facades of nearby residential buildings. Oleksandr Kovtunov, head of the Darnytskyi District State Administration, noted that a major tragedy was narrowly avoided simply because the streets were empty and residents were away from their windows at the exact moment of impact, resulting in zero casualties, News.Az reports, citing RBC-Ukraine.

The attack marks Russia’s third targeted strike on Kyiv within a single week. The broader multi-district assault triggered major fires across the Solomianskyi and Dniprovskyi districts, damaging an office and warehouse complex, a railway locomotive, and the city’s traffic light electrical grid.
