According to the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Russian forces launched two missiles at the Odesa district during the afternoon, hitting what officials described as purely civilian sites, News.Az reports, citing RBC-Ukraine.
A 69-year-old woman was killed in the attack, while a 44-year-old man suffered shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized.

The strike caused widespread damage to residential property. Two homes were completely destroyed, while three other private houses sustained damage, including shattered windows, damaged roofs, facades and fences.
Ukrainian prosecutors said investigators are documenting the attack as a possible war crime, gathering evidence at the scene.
The latest strike continues a series of Russian attacks on the Black Sea region in recent days. On July 12, Russian drones struck a residential building and a commercial facility in the Odesa region. A day earlier, a missile attack on the city of Odesa killed two people and injured another civilian.
On July 10, Russian cruise missiles struck the region’s port area, sparking fires and killing one person. Earlier, on July 8, two ballistic missiles hit Odesa, leaving four people dead and six others injured.
The renewed attacks come as Russia continues its aerial campaign against Ukrainian cities and infrastructure, with the Odesa region remaining a frequent target because of its strategic ports and Black Sea location.
