The latest admissions brought the total number of dengue cases requiring hospitalization to 99,275, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Anadolu Agency reported.
October has recorded 58 dengue deaths so far, while 148 fatalities were reported in September. Of all patients hospitalized since January, 92,803 have recovered and been discharged, the health authority said.

Bangladesh typically experiences its dengue season between June and September. However, infections and deaths have risen sharply compared with the same period last year, when authorities recorded 53,606 cases and 225 deaths.
Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease transmitted through the bites of infected mosquitoes. There is no specific antiviral treatment, although medical care can help manage symptoms and complications.
The South Asian country, which has a population of about 175 million, recorded 281 dengue deaths in 2022, its highest annual toll at the time.
Meanwhile, health authorities reported seven additional deaths involving measles-like symptoms and more than 1,200 new infections.
The number of deaths linked to suspected measles infections has reached 1,162 since mid-March, although only 104 of those deaths have been confirmed as measles-related, according to the reported figures.
The total number of cases involving measles-like symptoms has risen to 205,028, while 22,421 cases have been confirmed as measles.
In response to the outbreak, the Health Ministry has immunized around 20 million children, in addition to routine vaccination programmes and a catch-up campaign launched in late September.
The simultaneous rise in dengue infections and measles-like illnesses is adding pressure to Bangladesh’s public health system, as authorities continue vaccination efforts and treatment for affected patients.
