Trump purchased the SpaceX shares on July 10 and sold shares on July 17, according to the disclosure he signed on September 8, Reuters reported.
The transactions mark another financial connection between Trump and SpaceX, a major US military contractor and provider of space, satellite and artificial intelligence services. The company is led by Musk, who previously served as an adviser to Trump.

Reuters had previously reported that Trump bought SpaceX shares in June.
The latest transactions come as the US administration makes decisions that could affect SpaceX, which frequently seeks approvals from federal agencies and holds government contracts.
SpaceX priced the largest-ever US initial public offering on June 12, giving the company a valuation of $1.77 trillion.
After reports of Trump’s earlier SpaceX investment emerged, White House spokesman Davis Ingle said third-party financial institutions independently manage the president’s investment portfolio and replicate recognized indexes, including the Schwab 1000.
Trump’s spokesperson did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment on the July transactions.
The exact value of Trump’s SpaceX holdings could not immediately be determined because federal financial disclosure forms require officials to report asset values within ranges rather than provide precise figures.
The SpaceX transactions were among more than 1,000 trades Trump made in July, according to the disclosure. The Office of Government Ethics, which collects financial disclosures from US officials, published the document on Tuesday.
