The ransomware group “World Leaks” posted a massive trove of over 200,000 files online. Among the leaked data are at least six files explicitly mapping out the iPhone 18 Pro’s internal components to their specific global manufacturers—including main circuit board chips, battery components, and camera parts. The leak also features internal, confidential Apple-watermarked photos from early 2026 showing the unreleased grey, three-camera handset undergoing drop tests at a Tata facility, News.Az reports, citing Reuters.
The exposure threatens to disrupt Apple’s fiercely guarded supply chain network and hand an unprecedented blueprint to competitors and counterfeiters. The breach lays bare exactly where Apple relies on single-source suppliers versus where it holds bargaining leverage.

The security failure comes at a crucial moment for both companies. Apple is currently relying on Tata to aggressively diversify its manufacturing footprint outside of China; India is currently on track to produce 26% of the world’s iPhones this year.
Apple is reportedly investigating the breach alongside Tata, which has since restricted internal system access and hired a global consulting firm to conduct a forensic audit. Neither Apple nor Tata have officially commented on the leak.
