Missouri based Park University and ADA University, a public higher education institution based in Baku, Azerbaijan, have signed a memorandum of understanding to provide ADA students a streamlined pathway to Park with a coordinated graduate program.
The agreement, which is planned to launch at the start of the Fall 2026 semester, provides a 4+1 degree program, with the completion of a bachelor’s degree at ADA and subsequent completion of a Master of Business Administration degree in management at Park. ADA students accepted into this program are expected to have up to 12 transfer hours into Park’s MBA program.
“Park University and ADA University share a commitment to offering student-focused educational experience that prepare students to make a different in their communities and across the world,” said Kathrine Swanson, Ed.D., Park University interim president. “This 4+1 program is exciting because it enriches the experiences of ADA students while contributing to the rich, dynamic community of Park University’s flagship Parkville Campus.
“This partnership with Park University marks a significant step in our mission to provide ADA students with a truly global education,” said Elkin Nurmammadov, Ph.D., ADA University vice rector for academic affairs. “By bridging our undergraduate excellence with Park’s respected MBA program, we are creating a seamless pathway for our future leaders to gain international perspectives and advanced management skills in an accelerated format.
ADA University was established in 2014 by decree of the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan following the merger of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and Information Technologies University. ADA is a state higher education institution engaged in the delivery of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, in addition to the advancement of research. Founded in 2006, Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy began offering an advanced foreign service program to diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and civil servants in the government. The Academy launched its first master’s degree program in 2009 and began offering bachelor’s degree programs in 2011.
Its business programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (of which Park University’s College of Management is also accredited by). ADA also has partnerships with American University’s Washington College of Law and George Washington University through ADA’s center in Washington, D.C.
